Friday Social Dancing  

Friday is our social time at the Crown Plaza. We would like to remind all of our members that we have a number of single members that enjoy dancing and look forward to being asked to dance. We want to make it an enjoyable social night for all members and this would be one way of doing it.  And note that dancing with others can really help your overall dancing.

Note About Taking Classes – Only One At A Time Please

Members are only allowed to take one class on Tuesday night.  So pick the class you want to take (Basic, Intermediate or Advanced) but not more than one class.  You are also requested to stay in the Basic and Intermediate class for the 6 week period and not switch to any other class during that period of time or on the same night.   

We are requiring this as the classes are generally full and we want to have as many people participate as possible.  One person taking 2 classes will keep someone else from being able to attend any class at all.  Also, it is important to take the class that fits your skill level.  If you are still working on the basic steps, it is not appropriate to move up to the intermediate class.  You are required to be proficient at one level before you move up to the next level.

Open Dancing On Tuesday Night After Lessons

We are encouraging you to take advantage of open dancing after the last class on Tuesday night.  We will keep the music going and hope you take advantage of the time to dance and practice your steps.  Also, if you need help, feel free to ask other members about any steps you may be having trouble with.  It’s a great way to learn.
